The structure and reactivity of chemical compounds. The influence of external fields and medium on chemical transformations, molecular dynamics, and molecular organization.
The dynamics and kinetics of photo- and radiationinduced processes.
The mechanism of chemical reactions in the gas and condensed phases and at interphase boundaries.
Chain and thermal ignition, combustion, and detonation in gases and two-phase systems; shock waves.
New physical methods for studies of chemical reactions, chemical physics of biological processes, chemical physics of polymeric materials, and chemical physics.

RULES FOR PREPARATION

1. Papers should be thoroughly edited and printed on a laser printer (papers with indistinct or small symbols in formulas and indices will not be accepted). The volume of original and review papers should not exceed 40 000 and 60 000 characters, respectively. The volume includes: Abstract, Text, Tables, References, Figure Captions, and Figures (no more than one figure per 3.5 pages of text; Figs. 1a and 1b count as two figures).

2. The volume of 鈥淪hort Communications鈥縫apers should not exceed seven pages (two figures), and that of 鈥淟etters to the Editor,鈥縯wo pages.

3. Two paper copies are sent to the Editorial Board (including the first copy) together with an electronic version (diskette or CD), including figures, in *.doc format and e-mail addresses of the authors. The paper should be signed by all authors. On a separate page, the authorsi surnames, patronymics, first names, complete address with postal index, and home and office telephone numbers should be supplied. In addition, an author should be singled out for correspondence with the Editorial Board. For communications, the fax number of the Institute of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, can be used: 7-495-651-21-91. Documents necessary for publication are an expert examination statement and letter of recommendation from the institution where the work was performed. The paper should be sent together with a copyright transfer agreement (original only) signed by all the authors; the form can be downloaded from www.naukaran.ru. The rules for preparation can be found at http://www.maik.ru and www.chph.ras.ru/~chph-journal.
The Editorial Board only registers the hard copy of the article and the necessary documents; the electronic version is a supplement. The hard copy and electronic (diskette or disc) versions should be sent together.

4. The text must be printed without corrections and insertions on white paper, 14 point type, 1.5 line spacing. Footnotes should be printed in 12 point type (MS Word, *.doc format). The text should be printed on one side with 3 cm left margins and 2 cm margins at the right, top, and bottom. A page should contain no more than 28鈥?lines with 60鈥?characters per line. Handwritten insertions and insets are forbidden. Pages should be numbered throughout without extensions in letters (that is, 7, 8, etc., rather than 7, 7a, etc.). Manuscripts sent to authors for revision should be returned to the Editorial Board at the recommended time with revisions and corrections in the text (in printed form, two copies), along with a corrected electronic version.

5. Each numbered table should be printed of a separate sheet. The same for figure captions. The same data should not be repeated in the text, tables, and figures.

6. References to unpublished works are forbidden. Attention: if a complete reference cannot be given, a site can be indicated. In text, references are denoted by Arabic numerals in square brackets. References to several sources under the same number are forbidden.

7. Figures should be presented in duplicate (grayscale photos on glossy paper in three copies) on white paper. The e-mail address of the Editorial Board of Khimicheskaya Fizika is jcp@chph.ras.ru. Figures in the original only are accepted, drawn clearly without smeared and doubled lines. On the back of each figure, the authorsi names and title of the paper should be written in pencil.

8. Chemical and mathematical formulas and symbols should be typed on a computer, with subscripts and superscripts in slightly smaller print than in the text. Avoid cumbersome mathematical notations, for instance, by using fractional exponents rather than roots and exp for exponential dependences. Numbered formulas are displayed on a separate line, with the number of the formula given at the right edge of the page. Only formulas with references in the text should be numbered. Superscripts and subscripts and powers should be marked in pencil with arcs from below or above. Cyrillic letters in formulas, indices, and denotations are forbidden.

9. In marking the paper, Greek characters should be underlined once with a red pencil; vector values, with a blue pencil (without an arrow above the letter); and Latin script characters, with a yellow pencil and notation in the margins (e.g., ital.).
To avoid errors, upper- and lowercase letters with similar shapes (C, c; K, k, P, p; O, o; S, s; U, u; V, v; etc.), characters I(i) and J(j), letter I and roman numeral I, Arabic numeral one and Roman I, | (vertical line), 1, and prime in indices, and Latin l and e should be clearly distinguished. Uppercase letters are underlined by two lines below (C), and lowercase letters, by two lines above (c).
Mathematical symbols like sin, sinh, Re, lim, inf, max, exp, and zero and chemical elements should be denoted with a square bracket from below (e.g. log1 = 0, Fe).
Signs like x (cross) and o (circle) should be avoided. Abbreviations of the names of compounds and scientific terms and expressions, except generally accepted ones, are forbidden.
Only one (worse) copy should be marked up.

10. One copy of the proofs is sent to the author for checking and approval (the English version of the proofs is sent only by e-mail).

11. Reprints of the Russian and English versions are sent by e-mail.

12. Acceptance or rejection of authorsi materials is decided by the Editorial Board.

13. The Editorial Board does not enter into discussions with the authors of rejected papers.

14. Manuscripts are not returned.

15. The Editorial Board reserves the right to not consider improperly formatted papers.
