Instructions to Authors

In order to achieve uniform presentation and to avoid unnecesary delays because of further inquiries, all authors are requested to respect the following guidelines. |
- FARMACIA publishes original papers in English or French. The following fields are covered: pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, biopharmacy, pharmaceutical analysis and drug control, pharmaceutical technology, experimental and clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical biology, history of pharmacy;
- Articles are considered for publication depending on: scientific value, originality of the research and the manuscript submission date;
- The manuscript is only accepted if neither the article nor any essential part of this has been published previously and is submitted exclusively to the journal FARMACIA. A separate covering letter signed by all the authors must state that authors agreed with the submission and that the material is no under the consideration for publication elsewhere. The declaration must contain, also, a statement that all procedures and experimental protocols are in compliance with the European Communities Council Directive of 24 November 1986 (86/609/EEC). It will also be indicated the name, address, phone number and e-mail address or fax of the corresponding author;
- The manuscript will be submitted in duplicate, in computer-printed form, along with the computer disc version (the electronic version can be sent at the e-mail address ssfr@revistafarmacia.ro). Manuscript will be written in WORD XP, Times New Roman font size 14, in double-spaced typewriting, sized A4 paper with a 3 cm margin, on one side paper only, usually no longer than 10 numbered pages. No hand- made correction on the manuscript is accepted;
- The rejected articles will be not returned to the authors;
- It is insistently recommended to structure the paper as follows
- Title: The article title should be precise and representative and must be drawn up both in Romanian and English or French;
- The full name of all authors: first name, surname. If there are several authors affiliated to different institutions Arabic numerals will be used as superscripts to indicate this;
- Names and the address of the institutions where the work was done
- The address or the e-mail address of the author for correspondence
- Abstract (not exceeding 1200 characters) and 3-4 keywords; both must be drawn up in Romanian and English/French
- The paper will be written in a clear and accurate manner and must be organized in the following format: Introduction/Background. A brief interpretation of the literature considering the current state of the knowledge in the field; Materials and Methods. Will include the presentation of utilized methods and materials; Results and Discussion. Iconography. Each table (max. 13/18cm) should have a brief, specific, descriptive title. Number all tables using Romanic numerals. The diagrams, graphics and photographs, named "figures" (max. 13/18cm) will have Arabic numbers, and should have a descriptive title. Manuscripts containing figures of insufficient quality cannot be accepted. Color illustrations are accepted only if they are essential. Figures and tables must appear in text at their right place; Conclusions. Should state the conclusions drawn from the results; References. The references will be ordered alphabetically; the references of articles will contain: the surname and the initials of the name of the authors, the title, source (journal names should be abbreviated according to "Index Medicus"), year, volume and page numbers; we kindly ask the authors to mention FARMACIA journal, where possible; the paper must contain recently published papers; the references of books will contain: the surname and the initials of the name of the authors, the title of the book, the publishing house, the city where it was published, the year and the page or the pages of the reference;
- Abbreviations should be defined at the first mention and thereafter applied consistently throughout the article. The abbreviations and the measuring unites will be used in agreement with the valid standards
- Do not use foot notes
- All manuscripts will be addressed to: Redactia Revistei FARMACIA, str. Traian Vuia nr. 6, sect. 2, cod 020956, Bucuresti, Romania
