It devotes itself to the mathematics of insurance and specializes on topics related to general insurance (as opposed to life insurance) or on topics related to financial risks with a specific insurance focus. The primary audience of the ASTIN Bulletin are practitioners working in financial institutions with interests in insurance and academics specializing in insurance related research.
