About the journal
Description:
The aim of the Iranian Journal of Science and Technology is to foster the growth of scientific research among Iranian engineers and scientists and to provide a medium by means of which the fruits of these researches may be brought to the attention of the world’s scientific communities. The journal will accept the original research contributions (previously unpublished) from all areas of established engineering disciplines and the sciences. The papers may be theoretical, experimental or both. The editors will welcome papers from all countries in the hope that this will advance the scientific standards of the journal and provide a channel of communication between Iranian Scholars and their colleague in other parts of the world.

Script Requirements

Scripts should be submitted in triplicate. They must be typewritten, double-spaced and at most twenty pages. Authors are also encouraged to send a copy of their paper by email as well as on a DOS-formatted diskette, along with 3 hard copies of their paper. Any generally used word processor such as Word, Word Perfect, etc., is acceptable (no Apple-formatted diskette, please). Authors will receive page proofs for correction when their contribution is first set, but there is rarely time for further proofs to be sent for checking. A short title, not to exceed 50 letter spaces, should be included on a separate sheet, to be used as the running headline for the article. Keywords, not to exceed a total of 10, should also be included. Iranian authors are requested to send a Farsi translation of their abstracts. Sub-headings should be typed in italics or underlined. The name and full postal address of the author to whom proofs are to be sent should be stated on the title page of the manuscript.

Illustrations should be placed at the end of the manuscript, and legends should be typed on a separate sheet.

Preparation of tables. Large or long tables should be typed on continuing sheets.

References should be clearly indicated in the text by numbers in brackets on the line. Full references should be given on a separate sheet containing the author’s name, followed by initials, title of paper (where desired), abbreviated title of journal, volume number, page number and year.

Authors should note that the original manuscript and diagrams will be discarded one month after publication unless a request by the authors has been made in advance.

For authors in Iran, there will be Rials 500,000 charges for handling of 10 reprints and one year subscription.
