Ophthalmic Genetics accepts original papers, review articles and short communications on the clinical and molecular genetic aspects of ocular diseases. The journal invites several types of contributions divided into sections: Editorial By invitation. To be written by the Editor-in-Chief or any other member of the editorial board. Preferably deals with articles in the same issue, but may deal with unrelated subjects of importance to the readership. Reviews and perspectives Invited and uninvited reviews in ophtalmic genetics or related topics. May include synopsis of current literature on a specific topic. Research reports Original research material on the clinical and molecular genetic aspects of the ocular disorders. Expedited articles Reserved for molecular genetic studies needing prompt publication to set record of discovery. Short communications/Case reports Articles dealing with single cases. No limitations on size of manuscripts.
