PCFD provides an international forum and refereed authoritative source of information in the field of computational fluid dynamics. Within the last decade, CFD has gained such maturity that it is now considered to be an indispensable analysis and design tool in a wide, and always increasing range of industrial applications. We believe that the application work can be as honourable as the development work. The practical flow problems are often so complex that a high level of ingenuity is required in issues such as finding a suitable trade-off between modelling complexity and practicability within the industrial environment, defining boundary conditions, or interpretation of the results for a better understanding of the flow physics. Connection to CAD and development of industrial design systems using CFD is a further challenging area. Thus, innovative applications of CFD are equally encouraged
