About the journal
The journal publishes original papers, review articles and selected case reports only in English since January 2001 and their reprints are available in pdf format from the section FULL PAPERS. The journal is listed by Current Contents; Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences and records appear in the Web of Science. The impact factor in 2001 was 0,348. Submission of papers for publication is welcome.
Instructions to Authors
Manuscripts are peer reviewed by international experts in the field. Requests are delivered to reviewers within two days. Good manuscripts can be published within two to three months. If reviews are not available within three months, authors are free to submit the manuscript to another journal. However, their announcement of cancelling the assessment procedure has to be sent to the Editorial Office.
Corresponding author receives one sample copy of the journal and 10 reprints. However, full papers in pdf format are available at http://vetmed.vri.cz with colored figures and photos, if submitted. Authors can send the URL address only to the interested colleagues.
Manuscripts can be submitted as e-mail attachments. Use addresses hruska@vri.cz or Ing.Z.Radosova radosova@mail.uzpi.cz. Follow the Instructions for Authors and attach the Author' s Declaration.
Please pay attention to manuscript preparation, especially English language professional standard and references. If possible, avoid references other than those from SCI indexed journals, use titles translated to English in References with original language note and English transcription of the names of authors.
All authors become members of the Vet Med - Czech Authors Club unless they unsubscribe themselves. Authors are supplied free of charge by e-mail information about the contents of new issues of the journal and an electronic bulletin with letters to the editor, information for the authors and other topics.
All papers published since 1992 (Vol.37) to 2000 (Vol.45) can be found by searching according to the key words or name of author/co-author. From the search results you can go further to abstracts of papers in English. If you are interested in reprints, mark the abstracts with your choice and fill your postal address in the appropriate form after clicking on the REPRINTS button. Please note that the e-mail address alone is not sufficient for us to reply, as the pdf formats of papers published in Volumes 37 to 45 are not available. Reprints will be air-mailed within one day of your request.
