About the journal
REVISTA DE CHIMIE, founded in 1949, is edited by the society SC BIBLIOTECA CHIMIEI SA. It is a mensual magazine internationally recognized by review in Chemical Abstracts, Current Contents and Analytical Abstracts and also by inclusion in the index for scientific publications of ISI (Institute for Scientific Information), Philadelphia, USA.
The published articles are in the field of chemistry, petrochemistry, chemical engineering, process equipments, biotechnology and environment protection. The articles evaluation is made by specialists for each domain. REVISTA DE CHIMIE offers dissemination of your articles in many countries and enables their review in the publications of other researchers. The magazine enables worldwide recognition of the scientific studies performed by Romanian researchers.
It offers collaborations among Romanian and foreign researchers

Instructions to Authors
Note for the authors Revista de Chimie (the Chemistry Magazine), abbreviated as Rev. Chim. (Bucuresti), publishes original papers and short communications in English or Romanian. For the articles in English, there will also be supplied a copy in Romanian where possible.
There may be also published papers presented during internal and international manifestations that are not included in the manifestation volumes. The magazine does not publish memos, technical reports or non-original papers (that are a compiling of literature data) or papers that have been already published in other national or foreign magazines. The rejected articles will not be returned to the authors.
Revista de Chimie has the copyright for all the published papers. This is why papers cannot be published (completely or partially) in other magazines unless authorized by the editorial board.
The manuscripts will be submitted in duplicate in computer-printed form along with the floppy-disk version. Manuscripts will be written in WORD’97, WINDOWS’98 (OFFICE 2000, MILLENIUM), font size 12, double spacing, on one side of a quatro paper, usually no longer than 10 numbered pages (without figures); refrence list, tables and figure caption will be given at their right place. Formulae will be made in Word formula editor. No hand-made correction on the manuscript is accepted; corrections will be typed.
After the title of the paper, which should be precise and representative, the full name and forename of the authors will be indicated, as well as their affiliation, mentioning the full address of the institution; if there are several authors affiliated to different institutions, numbers will be used as superscripts to indicate this (for instance 1, 2, 3 etc.). It will also be indicated the phone number, email address or fax of the contact person which will collaborate with the editorial office concerning the paper. The content of the paper will be preceded by an abstract (6 lines at most) and 3-4 keywords in English.
The paper will be written in a clear and accurate manner; any part of a text that does not concern the subject will be avoided.
It is insistently recommended to structure the paper as follows: Experimental Part, Results and Discussions, Conclusions, so as the literature part would be distinctive of the original contribution. 1.The indroductory part will contain, clearly and concisely, the selective presentation of the scientific information concerning the subject as a support for the original elements of the paper. 2.the Experimental part will include the presentation of utilised methods and materials, of effected works, as well as the scheme of the experimental installation; it is recommended that the results of the experiments should be presented as tables or diagrams, but not both. 3.the Results and Discussions will be highly scientifically presented, taking into account the speciality worldwide literature on this matter. 4.the Conclusions will end the paper.
The authors should use the proper nomenclature in agreement with the rules of chemistry nomenclature, and in the text it would rather be used the name of the substance instead of its chemical formula (for instance benzoyl peroxide instead of (C6H5-CO)2O2); nevertheless the formula of newly synthesized substances should be presented at least once in the article, as well as their correct chemical names according to Chemical Abstracts or IUPAC. It should be avoided the encoded denomination or by letters of the compounds. The authors are asked to indicate in italics the special characters such as ortho, meta, para, cis, trans, which will never be printed in capitals.
The diagrams, figures and photographs will all be named “figures”. In order to gain printing space, a maximal number of figures and diagrams will be included (10 at most), drawn separately on transparent tracing paper in black ink or printed with a laser print. Figures will be numbered with arabic numbers, as well as tables, which will also have a title. The used measurement units (according to the International System) must be clearly indicated. Refrences to tables will be made, as for figures, indicating their numbers. The formulae, the ecuations and the chemical reactions will be numbered with arabic digits, in small paranthesis in their chronological order, indicating in the manuscript the place where it should be inserted.
The abbreviations and the measuring units will be noted in agreement with the valid standards. The bibliographic refrences will be numbered continuously, in the order of their citing and noted in the text in square blanks; the paper must also contain recently published papers.
The references of articles will contain: the forename and the initials of the name of the authors, the volume in bold type letters, the number of the issue, the year of its publishing and the page number preceeded by p. Exemple: HELISSEY, P., GIORGI-RENAULT, S., RENAULT, J., J. Chem. Pharm. Bull., 37, nr. 9, 1989, p. 2413
References of books will include: the name of the author(s) (with their initials) in capslock, the title of the book, the edition number in arabic digits, the number of the volume or tome (bold), the publishing house, the publishers, the city where it was published, the year and the page or the pages of the reference preceeded by p.
Patents will be indicated as follows: author(s) or company, country and patent number and the Chem. Abstr. quotation.
