About the journal
Random Structures and Algorithms
It is the aim of this journal to meet two main objectives: to cover the latest research on discrete random structures, and to present applications of such research to problems in combinatorics and computer science. The goal is to provide a natural home for a significant body of current research, and a useful forum for ideas on future studies in randomness.
Results concerning random graphs, hypergraphs, matroids, trees, mappings, permutations, matrices, sets and orders, as well as stochastic graph processes and networks are presented with particular emphasis on the use of probabilistic methods in combinatorics as developed by Paul Erdõs. The journal focuses on probabilistic algorithms, average case analysis of deterministic algorithms, and applications of probabilistic methods to cryptography, data structures, searching and sorting. The journal also devotes space to such areas of probability theory as percolation, random walks and combinatorial aspects of probability.
Manuscripts should be submitted via email to the Managing Editor, Malgorzata Bednarska at random@amu.edu.pl. Information for contributors appears in the first and last issue of each volume, and is available at http://www.interscience.wiley.com/jpages/1042-9832/authors.html

Instructions to Authors
1. Prospective authors should submit their manuscripts via email to the Managing Editor: Malgorzata Bednarska, at random@amu.edu.pl The preferred form of submission is a postscript or pdf file typeset in LATEX and sent as an e-mail attachment. Alternatively, the authors may provide a www link from where the file can be downloaded. The source file should only be sent later, upon the request of the editors. At the time of submission please provide the name, address, email, telephone, and fax numbers of the contact author. This material should be separate from the manuscript itself.
All submissions will be acknowledged via email within five working days. If no such acknowledgment is received, the contact author should send an inquiry to the Managing Editor.
In exceptional cases (developing countries, non-academic authors) hard-copy submissions will also be considered.
2. The language of the Journal is English. The title page of each submission must contain the names and affiliations for each author. An abstract of not more than 60 words and up to five keywords or phrases that characterize the manuscript should also be included.
The references should be numbered alphabetically and styled according to the American Mathematical Society guidelines. Where possible, material intended for footnotes should be inserted in the text.
Wiley's Journal Styles and EndNote EndNote is a software product that we recommend to our journal authors to help simplify and streamline the research process. Using EndNote's bibliographic management tools, you can search bibliographic databases, build and organize your reference collection, and then instantly output your bibliography in any Wiley journal style.
Download Reference Style for this Journal: If you already use EndNote, you can download the reference style for this journal.
How to Order: To learn more about EndNote, or to purchase your own copy of EndNote, click here.
Technical Support: If you need assistance using EndNote, contact endnote@isiresearchsoft.com, or visit www.endnote.com/support.
3. No article can be published before signing the publication agreement, which serves as a transfer of copyright from author to publisher. The publication agreement appears in most issues of the journal and may also be obtained from the editors or the publisher. (Note: The publication agreement need not accompany the submission of the article.)
Only original papers will be accepted and copyright in published papers will be vested in the publisher. It is the author's responsibility to obtain written permission to reproduce material that has appeared in another publication.
4.Senior authors will receive 50 reprints of their article without charge. Additional reprints can be ordered and purchased by filling out the form provided by the publisher with the article page proofs.
