PROGRESS OF THEORETICAL PHYSICS SUPPLEMENT

PROGRESS OF THEORETICAL PHYSICS is a monthly journal which contains academic research papers on theoretical physics. It was founded by Hideki YUKAWA in 1946. Now it is published for the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Physical Society of Japan. This journal publishes mainly the submitted and refereed original papers in all fields of theoretical physics such as particle physics, field theory,nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, statistical physics, astrophysics and cosmology. Each issue contains Papers and Letters, and , sometimes, Invited Papers. Besides the monthly issues, PROGRESS OF THEORETICAL PHYSICS SUPPLEMENT is published approximately quarterly. Each issue contains either long original or review papers or a collection of papers on some specified topics. |

Instructions to Authors
General:
Manuscripts submitted to the Progress of Theoretical Physics should be written in English. Papers should have a concise abstract. Letters should be no more than 6 printed pages (approximately 320 lines including tables and figures), with an abstract of approximately 50 words.
Electronic submission:
We accept for review manuscripts submitted electronically in the form of LaTeX files. The LaTeX files should be prepared using the PTPTeX format. We also strongly encourage use of the template file. The necessary files and instructions for PTPTeX are as follows:

Non-electronic submission:
Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate to:

Manuscripts should be neatly typewritten. Be sure to include printer's marks for letters and symbols that are difficult to recognize. For general information concerning style, arrangement, abbreviations, etc., consult any recent issue of this journal.
Source file:
For manuscripts written using some form of TeX (LaTeX, Rev TeX, Plain TeX, etc.) other than PTPTeX, we request submission of source files after the paper has been accepted for publication.
Color figures:
The standard color printing fee is 50,000 yen per color page, regardless of the number of figures a page contains.
Author's proof:
To contributors submitting papers from outside Japan and authors who do not use TeX or LaTeX files, we provide galley proofs.
Publication charge and reprints:
The publication charge is 5,000 yen per printed page. Authors are entitled to receive 100 reprints free of charge. Additional reprints, in multiples of 50, can be ordered at the price [8 yen] X [printed pages] X [number of additional reprints], after a paper has been accepted for publication.
Copyright:
Copyright of an article submitted to the Progress of Theoretical Physics is transferred to the Publication Office of Progress of Theoretical Physics when the article is published in this journal.

In case a project to write a Supplement is made, please contact the Editorial Office of the Progress of Theoretical Physics.
