PARASITE
Journal de la Societe Francaise de Parasitologie
Basic and applied research in all fields of parasitology throughout the world. Publishes original contributions, research notes, commissioned reviews and congress reports.
Instructions to Authors
Original contributions, written in English or French, will be limited to 25 pages illustrations included, typed on A4 paper with 25 double-spaced lines a page, and 60 letters and spaces a page. Authors should follow the International Rules for Nomenclature. Research notes, limited to 6 typed pages and Letters to the editor (2 pages, no summary) will globally obey the same instructions.
a. A title-page will mention the title of the article (limited to 150 characters), the authors' names then initials of surnames (no more than 6 authors), the name and address of the institute where the work was done, a list of key-words in French and in English; fax and telephone numbers of the author responsible for correspondence should be indicated. A running title of no more than 50 characters should be provided.
b. To keep the authors anonymous, the first page of the text should begin with the title once more. A 8 to 15 lines summary will be provided in French and in English, as well as a translation of the title.
c. Please arrange the text in: Introduction - Materials and methods - Results - Discussion - Acknowledgements - References. Only the references cited in the text (author's name, date) and accepted for publication should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order, according to the following examples: Vuong P.N., Wanji S., Sakka I., Klager & Bain O. The murid filaria Monanema martini: a model for onchocerciasis. Annales de Parasitologie humaine et compar閑, 1991, 66, 109-120. Nakorchnai S. & Anantavara S. Oxygen free radicals in malaria, in: Lipid-soluble Antioxidants, Biochemistry and Clinical Applications. Ong A.S.H. & Packer L. (eds), Birkhauser Verlag, Basel, 355-362.
d. Figures, black and white photographs with legends supplied with the text must be scaled in microns or millimeters. Their location must be indicated in the text as well as the eventual reduction wished by the author. Four colours illustrations are at the authors' expense.
The author who has submitted the manuscript will receive 50 reprints free of charge, provided his subscription or the subscription of his laboratory to PARASITE is updated. Additional copies should be ordered at the proof stage and will be at the authors' expense.
