Manuscript Central Ocular Immunology and Inflammation uses an online peer view system, Manuscript Central Ophthalmology . All authors are requested to submit their manuscript online, paper manuscript submissions are not accepted. At the bottom of this page a link is provided to the online system. Authors who are unable to submit their manuscript online are requested to contact the Editorial Office at: submissions@swets.nl . Please read all instructions carefully before submission and follow them strictly to ensure that the review and publication of your paper is as efficient and quick as possible. The Editorial Office reserves the right to return manuscripts that are not in accordance with these instructions. If a considerable amount of language revision is required, the Publisher will have to charge authors the additional costs.
Proofing procedure Authors of accepted papers are responsible for proofreading. They will receive the proofs in electronic file (pdf) and must return the proofs without delay. Proofs can be returned by air mail and/or fax, but in case of fewer corrections they can also be returned by e-mail. Corrections to proofs must be restricted to printer's errors. Other corrections may be charged to the author.
Copyright and permissions It is a condition of publication in the Journal that authors assign copyright to Swets & Zeitlinger Publishers. This ensures that requests from third parties to reproduce articles are handled efficiently and consistently and will also allow the article to be as widely disseminated as possible. In assigning copyright, authors may use their own material in other publications provided that the Journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication. Therefore, the Manuscript should be accompanied by a signed Consent to Publish form . Please note that your manuscript can only be taken into production once the signed form has been received. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain written permission for a quotation from unpublished material, or for all quotations in excess of 250 words in one extract or 500 words in total from any work still in copyright, and for the reprinting of illustrations or tables from unpublished or copyright material. Submission of a paper to this Journal implies that it has not been published before and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
The Editors and the Publisher of Ocular Immunology and Inflammation are not responsible for the scientific content and statements of the authors of accepted papers.
Submission of manuscripts : Submit your article in a frequently used word processing package under operating systems MS Dos, Windows or Apple Macintosh. Do not submit your article in ASCII, Postscript or Works. Name files using Dos conventions (8 characters, dot, 3 characters). For example: figure1.eps Make sure that the correct version of the manuscript is submitted for processing (original, revision, final manuscript). Please note that the manuscript file should include title page and abstracts. Always retain a backup copy of your manuscript (both digital and on hardcopy). Please note that the manuscript has only been submitted once the message 'successful submission confirmation' appears. Manuscripts must be accompanied by a letter of submission containing a statement that the manuscript reports unpublished work that is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. If the manuscript describes drugs or other chemical agents, devices, or techniques in which one or more authors have a financial interest, this must be stated in the cover letter. Authors who wish to publish color illustrations must state in their covering letter their willingness to assume the charge of $1000 per page.
Human and animal experiments Manuscripts reporting on investigations using animals must adhere to the ARVO resolution on the use of animals in research and the manuscript should include a statement regarding this matter in the 'materials and methods' section. Manuscripts dealing with experiments on human subjects should include a statement that the investigations were performed according to the guidelines of the 'Declaration of Helsinki'.
All communication regarding the manuscript will be done by e-mail. An e-mail address of the corresponding author is therefore mandatory for all submissions. Please note that you will be able to upload your manuscript in Manuscript Central Ophthalmology in one of the following formats: .txt, .html, .rtf, .ps, or .pdf. Save a copy of the original word processing and graphics files from your manuscript on your own computer. You will need them when you revise your manuscript and will be asked to submit these files for production if your manuscript is accepted. For reviewing purposes only, the Editorial Office accepts low resolution images. Please note though that, once a manuscript is accepted, .TIF or .EPS files should be submitted (see instructions regarding illustrations)
