About the journal
Materials at High Temperature serves the needs of those who develop and use materials for high temperature applications. The industrial sectors covered include metal extraction, alloy manufacture, chemical processing, power engineering, engine and furnace industries. Within these sectors the effect of high temperatures on materials performance, particularly creep, fatigue, strength, oxidation, corrosion and wear processes fall within the remit of the journal. Papers dealing with materials usage including modelling of behaviour, and of life prediction are also published. The journal has a policy of emphasising practical aspects of materials usage and welcomes research papers related to actual or potential applications. |
The development of new and advanced high temperature materials, whether alloys, ceramics, refractories, intermetallics or composites are seen as key areas for the successful exploitation of materials at high temperature.
Materials at High Temperatures are abstracted and indexed in Ceramic Abstracts, Chemical Abstracts, FIZ, INSPEC, Materials Information/Metals Abstracts, Materials Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index. All papers are peer reviewed
