Specific topics include airport and highway pavement maintenance and performance; management of roads and bridges; traffic management technology; construction and operation of pipelines; and economics and environmental aspects of urban transportation systems. ISSN: 0733-947X    Instructions to Authors Journal of Transportation Engineering Submission Guidelines ASCE encourages the submission of scholarly and practice-oriented articles to its journals. Before you submit an article, please review the scope statements for ASCE's journals on the journals home pages, to ensure that you are submitting your work to the journal that is best suited for it. Then, consult our resources for authors, especially the sections about types of journal content, length of journal submissions, and manuscript preparation. New Online Submission System  The Journal of Transportation Engineering accepts submissions online through Editorial Manager. With Editorial Manager, authors can submit manuscripts to the journal via the Internet and have their manuscripts reviewed online. Reviewers will also be able to review manuscripts and submit their comments online. Access Editorial Manager to register as a new user, view the author's tutorial, review submission requirements, log onto the system, and submit papers, technical notes, discussions, and closures. Online submission of all new manuscripts to the Journal of Transportation Engineering is required. Manuscripts that arrive via e-mail or postal mail will not be processed. The authors will be contacted and asked to submit their manuscripts online instead. Papers under review, accepted for publication, or published elsewhere should not be submitted and will not be considered.
