About the journal
|
The Journal of Geometry and Physics is an International Journal in Mathematical Physics. The Journal stimulates the interaction between geometry and physics by publishing primary research, feature and review articles which are of common interest to practitioners in both fields.
The Journal covers the following areas of research:
Methods of: Lie groups and Lie algebras and their representations Quantum groups and their representations Algebraic geometry Differential topology Real and complex differential geometry Geometrical approaches to dynamical systems and partial differential equations Global analysis Non-commutative differential geometry
Applications to: Classical mechanics of systems of finite and infinite degrees of freedom Quantum mechanics, especially geometrical schemes of quantization Classical and quantum field theory Quantum fields on curved space-time Quantum gravity Strings and superstrings.

Instructions to Authors
Submission of papers Manuscripts (in triplicate) and the editorial correspondence should be addressed to the Editorial Office: Journal of Geometry and Physics, Dipartimento di Matematica Applicata, Università di Firenze, Via S. Marta 3, 50139 Florence, Italy. Tel. +39 55 4796 405; fax +39 55 4796 254.
Before acceptance The letter of submission should include: the name of the corresponding author, full mailing address, telephone, fax, and e-mail address, if available. All correspondence with the Editors or Publisher should contain full reference to the paper concerned, i.e. the full title, the names all authors as well as the date of submission. By submission the author declares that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are entirely responsible for the contents of their paper. The author(s) will be asked to transfer copyright of the article to the Publisher. Papers should be written in English or French, and should contain an abstract in English. Authors are kindly requested to provide key words, the 1991 MSC (mathematical subject classification) and possibly the PACS-1996 (physics subject classification) for their paper. The beginning and end of theorems and their proofs must be clearly indicated.
Proofs will be sent to the author 4-6 weeks after acceptance. Please note that the proofs have been proofread by the Publisher and only a cursory check by the author is needed; we are unable to accept changes in, or additions to, the edited manuscript at this stage. In order to guarantee the fastest possible production times, the proofs must be returned within 48 hours after receipt, preferably by fax. If no reply is received from the author, the Publisher assumes that there are no further corrections to be made and will proceed with publication of the article.
Author benefits There is no page charge. 25 reprints will be sent, free of charge, to the first or corresponding author. Additional reprints can be ordered using the order form that is sent to the authors. All articles are announced in Elsevier's pre-publication service Contents Alert (for information on Contents Alert, please contact Ms. Margreet Runge at c-alert.mathphys@elsevier.nl). All articles are announced in Elsevier's Table of Contents Service ESToC http://www.elsevier.nl/estoc/.
Electronic manuscripts The Publisher welcomes the receipt of an electronic version of your accepted manuscript (preferably encoded in LaTeX or AMS-LaTeX). You are requested herewith to send a file with the text of the accepted manuscript directly to the Publisher by e-mail or on diskette (allowed formats 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch MS-DOS,or 3.5" Macintosh) to the address given below. Please note that no deviations from the version accepted by the Editor of the journal are permissible without the prior and explicit approval by the Editor. Such changes should be clearly indicated on an accompanying printout of the file. The Elsevier LaTeX package(including detailed instructions to authors) can be obtained using anonymous FTP from the Comprehensive TeX Archive Network(CTAN), or from the Publisher.
