IJEEE is a forum for the exchange of ideas in the teaching of electrical engineering and electronics
    at university and technical college level. It highlights the use of communication and information
    technology including the World Wide Web, curriculum design and validation, assessment, and
    distance learning, as well as presenting new topics and reports of laboratory experiments. The
    journal includes articles and book reviews

Instructions to Authors

  Notes for contributors

    The International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education is a forum for the exchange of ideas
    and innovations in the teaching of electrical engineering and electronics at university and
    college level. It aims to highlight a range of current trends, from the use of communications and
    information technology including the World Wide Web, distance learning, curriculum development,
    validation, and assessment, to reports of laboratory experiments.

    Scope
    IJEEE publishes articles, book reviews, conference reports and correspondence.
    Contributions should be aimed primarily at educators working at the post-graduate, undergraduate
    or technical college level. Research-level papers should demonstrate the educational benefits of
    the research. Submitted material should be previously unpublished. All submitted articles will be
    peer reviewed. The journal's remit, within the overall context of electrical engineering and
    electronics education, includes:

  • New topics
  • Innovative learning and teaching methods
  • Novel methods of assessment Reports of laboratory experiments
  • Developments of the use of communications and information
  • technology, including the World Wide Web
  • Course development and validation
  • Flexible and distance learning

    Preparation of papers
    Text
    
Authors are invited to submit two copies of their manuscript. Typescripts should be double
    spaced and clearly legible, up to 15 pages in length (4500 words). Please include a PC-compatible
    disc, preferably with the text in Microsoft Word format. On the disc the text should be saved as a
    single file including tables. Please list figure captions at the end. The hard copy and the
    disc versions must match exactly. Add any last-minute corrections in ink to the hard copy.

    Illustrations
    Please supply good-quality laser printouts, original artwork or glossy photographs as appropriate,
    all in black and white. In addition to the hard copy, we also accept illustrations in electronic format
    but please do not insert illustrations in the text files. Please supply them as separate files,
    including both the original applications and .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) files for the line
    diagrams. Screen shots and half-tones should be submitted as a .tiff (Tagged Image File Format).
    Please remove, or lighten as far as possible, background colour or shading. Lettering on diagrams
    should be simple, clear and large enough to allow for reduction of up to 50%.

    Proofs
    Authors will receive proofs to check. At proof stage we can only correct typographical errors.
    No payment is made for articles submitted, but corresponding authors will receive two free
    copies of the issues in which their article appears.

    Title page

  • Title of paper
  • Full name(s) and affiliation(s) of author(s), including one email address for correspondence
  • An abstract in English of no more than 50 words
  • Up to 5 keywords

    Main text

  • Use SI units throughout
  • Use italic typeface for variables; bold for vectors and matrices
  • Cite all references, tables and figures in the text as follows:
    6 in Ref. 6;Table 1; Fig. 5; Figs 3(a) and (b)
  • Define terms and abbreviations, except for those commonly used
  • Avoid footnotes to text; include in reference list
