About the journal
Hypertension in Pregnancy is a refereed journal that publishes data pertaining to human and animal hypertension during gestation. Contributions concerning physiology of circulatory control, pathophysiology, methodology, therapy, or other material relevant to the relationship between elevated blood pressure and pregnancy are addressed. Published material includes original articles, solicited and unsolicited reviews, editorials, and letters to the editor.
Instructions to Authors
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Dekker is currently implementing a digital manuscript submission system. Until this system is fully operational, digital AND hard copy versions of your manuscript are required.
Digital Submission
Digital submission of all manuscripts submitted for publication in Dekker journals is required. Dekker currently supports two options for digital submission: Digital storage media, including 3-1/2" diskettes, Zip disks, or CD-ROMs, or e-mail attachments. For detailed file naming instructions, please refer to the section entitled File Names.
Journal manuscripts may be submitted by e-mail to journaledit@dekker.com. The manuscript document, along with all files containing references, figures, tables, outline and abstract should be attached to the e-mail. Manuscript that is embedded in the body of the e-mail cannot be accepted. E-mail submissions must include all of the files associated with the manuscript. Compressed (a.k.a. zipped) files will be accepted. To expedite the review of your manuscript, the e-mail should follow this format:
- The subject of the e-mail should include journal name.
- The body of the e-mail should include the journal name, the title of the article, and the names and current contact information (including e-mail addresses) for all contributing authors.
E-mail that complies with the above format will receive an automated acknowledgement.
Digital versions of manuscript may also be submitted on diskette. Label your disk(s) with your name, the operating system and software version used, the journal name, and the title of the article. Please include the names and current contact information (including e-mail addresses) for all contributing authors, abstract, and article outline as separate files. Please mail your diskette with the hard copy of your complete manuscript, as detailed below.
Hard Copy Printouts
Dekker relies on the hard copy of your manuscript throughout the production process. Please send one original plus two complete copies of your manuscript to:

The hard copy submission should match the digital version exactly. Please include hard copies of the contact information, abstract, and article outline files, as well as graphics, figures, and tables. Prior to mailing your journal submission, please check a recent issue of the journal to determine if the manuscript needs to be addressed to a specific Editor, Regional Editor, or Editorial Board member. If your journal requires this information, please include it in your mailing.
Dekker can only acknowledge the receipt of manuscript submitted as e-mail. Hard copy and diskette versions will not be acknowledged.
