About the journal
 HERZ is the high-level journal for further education for all physicians interested in cardiology. The individual issues of the journal each deal with specific topics and comprise review articles in English and German written by competent and esteemed authors. They provide up-to-date and comprehensive information concerning the speciality dealt with in the issue. Due to the fact that all relevant aspects of the pertinent topic of an issue are considered, an overview of the current status and progress in cardiology is presented. Contributions concerning the latest developments and case reports round off the spectrum of information provided.
Being the official organ of the German Federation of Cardiologists in Private Practice [Bundesverbandes Niedergelassener Kardiologen (BNK)], HERZ also informs on political topics concerning the profession and the contents of courses, workshops, etc. held by the federation.

How to submit your manuscript
Please prepare your manuscript following the detailed Instructions for Authors for this journal. They can be accessed from the For Authors and Editors link section on the right hand side of this page.
Online submission
For initial submission manuscripts should preferably be submitted online in the form of a pdf-file or in standard word processing format (e.g. Word or WordPerfect) including all figures and tables. If not, please submit the following information:

and attach your file(s). Your manuscript will be sent to the Editor or Editorial Office for this journal.
All Springer- or Birkh鋟ser Verlag journals are published using electronic production methods. Therefore we need to receive the electronic files of your article along with a pdf file of the accepted version.
