About the journal

Geometriae Dedicata concentrates on geometry and its relationship to topology, group theory and the theory of dynamical systems.
Geometriae Dedicata aims to be a vehicle for excellent publications in geometry and related areas. Features of the journal will include:
- A fast turn-around time for articles.
- A "Surveys in Geometry" series: this will be a series of survey articles on active areas in geometry, directed to other geometers.
- Special issues centered on specific topics.
All submitted papers should include some explanation of the context of the main results.
Geometriae Dedicata was founded in 1972 on the initiative of Hans Freudenthal in Utrecht, the Netherlands, who viewed geometry as a method rather than as a field. The present Board of Editors tries to continue in this spirit. The steady growth of the journal since its foundation is witness to the validity of the founder's vision and to the success of the Editors' mission. |

Instructions to Authors
Online Manuscript submission
Kluwer Academic Publishers is pleased to offer authors, editors and reviewers of Geometriae Dedicata the option of using our fully web-enabled online manuscript submission and review system. To keep the review time as short as possible (no postal delays!) we encourage authors to submit manuscripts online to the journal's Editorial Office. Our online manuscript submission and review system offers authors the option of tracking the real-time progress of the review process of manuscripts. Manuscripts should be submitted to:

Geometriae Dedicata's online manuscript submission and review system offers easy and straightforward log-in and submission procedures. It supports a wide range of submission file formats, including: LaTeX, AMSTeX, Word, Postscript, PDF, RTF, TXT, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, and PICT.
Authors are requested to download the Consent to Publish and Transfer of Copyright form appearing on this website. Please send a completed and duly signed form either by mail or fax to Geometriae Dedicata' Editorial Office.
Authors should still follow the regular instructions for authors when preparing their manuscripts (see below). In case authors wish to submit their manuscript in printout + disk to the journal's Editorial Office, they are welcome to do so. Due to postal times, printout + disk submission will delay the review process.
Printout + Disk Manuscript submission
In case you have submitted your manuscript online, it is not necessary to also submit the manuscript in printout + disk form. The printout + disk option is only offered to authors who are unable to submit their manuscripts electronically.

Papers accepted for publication
The eventual supply of accepted-for-publication papers in their final form in LaTeX ensures more rapid publication. Geometriae Dedicata prefers the submission of papers in LaTeX. However, papers submitted in AMSTeX, LAMSTeX and for conventional typesetting can also be accepted.

The first page of the manuscript should contain the title, author's name, affiliation (including, where possible, an e-mail address) and if necessary the running headline (condensed title) which should not exceed 45 characters, including spaces. The manuscript should include an abstract, in English, the relevant AMS Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000), and a list of key words.
