About the journal
DMTCS is a high standard peer-reviewed electronic journal devoted to rapid publication of innovative research which covers discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science. The journal is devoted to a quest of quality and immediacy. As a purely electronic journal, it will regularly provide the community with new articles. Author's manuscripts are published as soon as they have been accepted and will be available internationally via the Internet.
DMTCS is published by a French association of the same name in cooperation with the Laboratoire Lorrain de Recherche en Informatique et ses Applications, LORIA, in Nancy, France, which ensures both the quality and the continuity of the internet services of the primary server, whereas EMIS provides us with a lot of mirror sites all around the world.
Instructions to Authors
Before you read on please ensure that the manuscript fits well into DMTCS and have a look at our policy.
DMTCS is an electronic journal run by volunteers. This implies that we are not able to typeset accepted articles for publication: authors have to provide with the LaTeX-sources of their paper, we will not accept publications in other formats.
LaTeX has become a de facto standard for publication in our community. We provide you with our own LaTeX Style and strongly encourage authors to use this style already for their submissions. We have a sample document (accompanied by a small BibTeX-file and sample graphics in eps and pdf format) that is worth looking at. It contains
- general remarks on the scientific style of a submission
- hints about the LaTeX processing itself
The file contains hints for these cases of failure to process it. What it produdes is available in different file formats: html, dvi (21K), pdf (24K), ps (38K), and ps.gz (16K).
Editorial Board
DMTCS is organized in a joint effort by the managing editors of its sections and the editor in chief:
- Jens Gustedt
- Magnús M. Halldórsson
- Christian Krattenthaler
- Anca Muscholl
- Uwe Schöning
- Wojciech Szpankowski
Any queries regarding an individual submission should be directed to the managing editor of the section of the submission (see below). In exceptional case you might also contact the editorial office.
Whenever you contact anybody at DMTCS please have in mind that we all are volunteers.
Please don't forget to mention the submission ID that was assigned to your submission. Makes life much easier for us...
DMTCS is split into sections that act relatively independent. They cover as well aspects of Discrete Mathematics as of Theoretical Computer Science.
For submissions that fall into areas that either are not covered by any of the sections or by several of them, please choose the button none of the above on the submission page. We will arrange to assign the submission to an apropriate managing editor.
