About the journal
This quarterly journal is edited and published in English language since 1972 by the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Its main objective is to stimulate the development of broadly conceived systems theory and analysis.
The field of interest covers general concepts, theories, methods and techniques associated with analysis, modelling, control and management in various systems (e.g. technological, economic, ecological, social).
The journal is particularly interested in results in the following areas of research:

- Optimization theory
- Optimization algorithms
- Decomposition and coordination methods
- Structural optimization
- Data analysis and learning
- Modelling and identification
- Game theory and polioptimization
- Decision and negotiation systems

- Systems analysis of national and regional developement
- Modelling and control of complex systems (e.g. energy, water, industry, agriculture)

Instructions to Authors
Submission rules
Papers submitted should concern one of the domains of the journal (see main page), represent an adequate scientific quality (novely against the existing state of the art, non-trivial survey of the state of the art, etc.), and be written in adequate English language. It is assumed that the papers submitted are original, i.e. have not been published elsewhere nor are being submitted in parallel.
Submission can be made via e-mail (Authors are kept responsible for taking appropriate care of the facile legibiliy of the format) or in paper form (triplicate in the latter case). No special paper style is required upon submission.
All formal correspondence (notifications etc.) is maintained via regular mail.
The papers submitted are reviewed by two independent referees each. Having obtained these reviews the Editors formulate their opinion and recommendations.
Conformity with the style is required upon final acceptance for publication.
