Use one side of each sheet, using a font not smaller than 12 points. All pages must be numbered.   Layout of the Paper Each paper must have a heading, full name and address of the author(s), abstract of about 100 words, keywords, the body of the paper and references. Indicate the preferred address for correspondence and sending of proofs. Always keep the Editorial Office informed about address changes.   Keywords Immediately following the abstract, give five to ten keywords (key phrases).   Abbreviated title An abbreviated title of not more than 50 characters to be used as the running head should be given with each manuscript.   Illustrations Electronic version in EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) are preferred. Hardcopy of illustrations should be sharp, noise free and of good contrast. Photographs should be glossy prints, of good contrast and gradation, and any reasonable size.   References References should appear as a separate bibliography at the end of the paper, numbered by numerals in square brackets. References should be complete, in the style given below, for example: KAUTZ, H.A.-SELMAN, B.: Hard Problems for Simple Default Logic. Artificial Intelligence, Vol. 49, 1991, No. 3, pp. 243--279.   References to papers published in languages other than English should be translated into English with the original language given in brackets after the heading, e.g. (in German).   Referee process Each submitted paper is assigned to a member of the Editorial Board for handling. The handling editor chooses two anonymous referees; having received the reviews, s/he sends them to the author(s), monitors the process of observing the reviewers´comments by the author(s), and communicates the final decision (Accept/Reject) to the Editorial Office. In case an author wishes to provide a review with his/her identity kept from the reviewers, this should be indicated in the cover letter to the Editor-in-Chief. In this case the author(s) name(s) should appear only on a removable cover page.   Accepting a Manuscript If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author will be asked to supply the electronic version of the manuscript (preferably along with TeX source and Encapsulated Postscript files for figures) together with the hardcopy, including technical biographies (100 words) and photographs of all authors. Hardcopy of the accepted paper must match the electronic version, and any changes made to the hardcopy must be incorporated into the electronic version.   Via electronic mail: Please e-mail the final version of an accepted paper to: cai.ui@savba.sk The e-mail message should include the author's last name and the type of file.   Via disk: Send a 3.5 inch floppy disk with the author(s) names and manuscript title and file number indicated to the Editorial Office. In case of any questions about the above procedures, please send e-mail to cai.ui@savba.sk.   Proofreading The Production Editor will send page proofs for articles to be included in a journal issue to the contact author for proofreading, usually by e-mail. The author is assumed to send the revised paper back within 10 days; otherwise the paper will be published without proofreading.   Reprints Each group of authors is entitled to 30 free reprints of their paper.
