About the journal
《地球物理学报》创刊于1948年，半个世纪以来，记载了我国地球物理科学事业发展的光辉进程。本刊由中国地球物理学会和中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所联合主办，是有关地球物理科学的综合性学术刊物。本刊主要刊登固体地球物理、应用地球物理、空间地球物理和大气、海洋地球物理以及与地球物理密切相关的交叉学科的研究论文。着重报道创新性研究成果。
《地球物理学报》是地学领域中具有代表性的期刊之一，已列入中国自然科学核心期刊。目前有多种著名国际检索系统检索本刊，如SCI、SA、CA、"全俄科学情报研究所文摘杂志"、日本"科学技术文摘速报"、"世界译文索引""乌利希国际期刊指南"、"水科学文摘"
"TULSA石油文摘"、美国地质文摘"、"法国文献通报"等。国内有关检索机构均收录本刊，如《中国科技论文统计源数据库》，《中国科学引文索引数据库》等。在《中国科学引文索引数据库》1999年10月公布的"1998年全国被引频次最高的科技期刊前500名排行榜"中名列第12位，在地学类期刊中排名第一。从"1994年－1998年被引频次最高的中国科技期刊百名表"显示，《地球物理学报》的被引频次在逐年增加，这5年的总引频次排位第10。在《地球物理学报》1999年发表的论文中，获国家自然科学等各项基金资助的论文占总数的83.84%，经统计，2000年1－6期中的该项基金比例已上升为95%。
《地球物理学报》在历届中国科学院评比中均获一等奖，1992年和1996年该刊连续获全国优秀科技期刊一等奖，1999年获首届"国家期刊奖"（科技）。1948年创刊以来，历届主编傅承义、顾功叙、翁文波和现任主编刘光鼎院士都是中国最著名的地球物理学家。历届编委会委员均为知名的地球物理学家，本届编委中有院士13名，有8名国外编委，以及港、台地区的编委。目前本刊已被纳入中国科学院知识创新工程，在"科技兴国"方针指引下，我们努力将《地球物理学报》办成国际性学术期刊，努力为地球物理事业作出更大的贡献。
Chinese Journal of Geophysics-Chinese Edition (CJG-CE) 》originated in 1948. It is cosponsored by the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Geophysical Society, and is the unique academic and integrated periodic on geophysics in China. Emphasizing on original and creative research results, it mainly publishes papers on solid-earth geophysics, applied geophysics, space and atmospheric physics, planetary science, oceanographic physics and other related interdisciplines. The Chinese version《Chinese Journal of Geophysics-Chinese Edition (CJG-CE) 》 (ISSN0001-5733, CNI1-2074/P) of the journal is published bimonthly. The electronic English version《 Chinese Journal of Geophysics（CJG）》 (ISSN 0898-9591) since 2000 is published by the American Geophysical Union.
The CJG-CE is one of the core journals of natural sciences in China, and is recognized as one of the representative journals in the earth science field. At present, the journal is retrieved by 15 international retrieval systems, such as SCI-E, CA, INSPEC, TULSA Petroleum Abstracts, PASCAL, All-Russia ISTI, Current Bibliography on Science and Technology. Also, it is one of the source journals of 12 Chinese retrieval systems, including Chinese Science Citation Databases, Chinese Scientific and Technical Paper Citation, Academic Periodical Abstracts of China, and Abstracts of Chinese Geological Literature.
According to the statistics results from CSTPCD(China), the impact factor is 1.974, total citation frequency is 1553, the proportion of those supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and other foundations is 100%. According to the statistics results from ISI(USA), the impact factor is 0.375, total citation frequency is 278.
The CJG-CE won the National Journal Award respectively in 1999, in 2003 and in 2005. In the evaluation of national journals in 2001, it became a member of the Chinese Periodic Matrix and won the Doublehigh award.
