The Bulletin of the Veterinary Institute in Pulawy is issued twice a year. It publishes, in English, reports of experimental investigations completed in the National Veterinary Research Institute, and in other scientific centres.

Instructions to Authors The Bulletin of the Veterinary Institute in Pulawy is issued twice a year. It publishes, in English, reports of experimental investigations completed in the National Veterinary Research Institute, and in other scientific centres. Manuscripts should be submitted on personal computer disks MF 2HD in English version. The text should be written in WORD (printed in TIMES NEW ROMAN CE, point 10 with 4.3 cm right and left margins and 4.9 cm upper and down margins). Manuscripts should not exceed 6 pages including figures and tables. Manuscripts should not contain space out words and underlining. Latin terms should be written in italic letters. Tables, figures and photographs corresponding to the above standards should be described in English and numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. Illustrations should be of high quality. No bold letters and lines in figures and tables are accepted. Only tables with essential horizontal lines and figures prepared in black-and-white and without frames will be accepted. All figures and tables shoul be inserted in appropriate place in the text. Manuscripts should be organized in the following sections:

title, title (in the centre, bold letters, point 12),

the authors?full names (in the centre, point 11),

the affiliations and e-mail address (in the centre),
-
summary (up to 12 lines, point 9),

key words (up to 5),

text containing:
- Introduction - short, concise and clear statement on the background,
purposes and significance of the work,
- Material and Methods - details regarding the methods used should be
written only in the case of new or modified methods,
- Results - statements without interpretations or evaluation must be
presented; in addition, the statement must include the most significant results presented in tables and illustrations,
- Discussion - this section must discuss and evaluate the results obtained
and compare them with those presented by others,
- References - should be listed alphabetically and their number limited to
the minimum.
The following styles for references are obligatory:

Article titles should be cited in original or in official transliteration. Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the abbreviation used in the journal cited.

Manuscript going to press will be sent to the authors for correction. The Editorial Board is responsible for reviews of the works, corrections and giving refusal.
- Common abbreviations to be used in this journal:
s = second (s), min = minute (s), h = hour (s), d = day (s)
- Whole numbers are written without the comma (12 300)
- Decimal numbers are written with the decimal point (0.05)
- Use Table (not Tab.) and Fig. or Figs
- Use only parenthesis
- The title of sections should be written in bold letters in the centre eg.
