About the journal
This journal presents the results of research in novel drug molecules and the evaluationof new drugs in development. In addition, the latest scientific findingson substances and productsalready marketed are discussed.Original papers from universities, the industry, private institutions, and other organisations report about new investigations carried out in the following areas of drug research and development: chemistry, synthesis, analytics, biochemistry, experimental pharmacology, toxicology, teratology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, clinical pharmacology, efficacy testing, drug interactions, bioavailability, bioequivalence and questions relating to drug formulation, mathematical and statistical methods for the evaluation of results from industrial investigations as well as clinical trials.
In the journal's special section "Biotechnology in Drug Research" investigators present their studies, results, and experience with therapeutics of biotechnological origin. Like with classical drugs, themes cover all the steps from discovery and development up to clinical research.
Arzneimittel-Forschung / Drug Research publishes original papers in German or English; due to the journal's international distribution, the publishers recommend the use of English. Summaries (abstracts) of papers always appear in both languages.
