The journal addresses researchers, teachers, stakeholders of academic and educational institutions as well as industrial or governmental organisations in the field of animal production.   Instructions to Authors Archiv Tierzucht / Archives Animal Breeding The journal publishes a broad spectrum of original research papers (full papers), short communications as well as brief reports dealing with animal breeding in German or preferentially English language. Manuscripts should be submitted together with a covering letter including the following statement signed by the author: The author(s) hereby confirms that the manuscript has not been published in whole or in part, nor is being considered for publication elsewhere.Manuscripts not conforming to these instructions will be returned without review. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two expert referees. Papers in a numbered series will not be reviewed unless all parts are available for reviewing at the same time. Revisions made according to the reviewers?and editors?remarks should be resubmitted within 90 days together with a detailed list and description of changes made. The exclusive copyrights of the manuscript pass from the author(s) to the publisher with the acceptance of the manuscript by the editor - including the right to reproduce the article or any part thereof. Before the manuscripts are printed the corresponding authors get proofs for correction and confirmation. No fee is paid for publication, but also no fee is need for publication. The corresponding author receives a PDF-file of the printed paper. Submission of articles Please send your paper to arch.anim@fbn-dummerstorf.de. You will get an conformation of receipt with your reference number. Files should be readable with Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org. For figures TIFF-files are accepted.
