About the journal
Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing is a an archival peer reviewed journal publishing research and tutorial papers on the design and applications of analog integrated circuits and signal processing circuits and systems. It is published in nine issues per year with worldwide distribution to engineers, researchers, educators, and libraries. The journal promotes and expedites the dissemination of new research results and tutorial views in the analog field. There is an exciting and large volume of research activity in the field worldwide. Researchers are striving to bridge the gap between classical analog work and recent advances in very large scale integration (VLSI) technologies with improved analog capabilities. Analog VLSI has been recognized as a major technology for future information processing. Analog work is showing signs of dramatic changes with emphasis on interdisciplinary research efforts combining device/circuit/technology issues. Consequently, new design concepts, strategies and design tools are being unveiled. Topics of interest include:
- Analog Interface Circuits and Systems;
- Data converters;
- Active-RC, switched-capacitor and continuous-time integrated filters;
- Mixed analog/digital VLSI;
- Simulation and modeling, mixed-mode simulation;
- Analog nonlinear and computational circuits and signal processing;
- Analog Artificial Neural Networks/Artificial Intelligence;
- Current-mode Signal Processing; Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools;
- Analog Design in emerging technologies (Scalable CMOS, BiCMOS, GaAs, heterojunction and floating gate technologies, etc.);
- Analog Design for Test;
- Integrated sensors and actuators; Analog Design Automation/Knowledge-based Systems; Analog VLSI cell libraries; Analog product development;
- Low voltage/low power analog IC design;
- RF Front ends, Wireless communications and Microwave Circuits;
- Analog behavioral modeling, Analog HDL.
Indexing/Abstracting Services
Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing is indexed/abstracted in ACM Computing Reviews; ACM Guide to Computing Literature; COMPUMATH Citation Index; Computer and Information Systems Abstracts; Computer Literature Index; Current Contents/Engineering, Computing & Technology; Electronics and Communications Abstracts; INSPEC Information Services; The ISI Alerting Services; Science Citation Index; Science Citation Index Expanded; Solid State and Superconductivity Abstracts
Instructions to Authors
Authors are encouraged to submit high quality, original work that has not appeared in, nor is under consideration by, other journals. Papers, which have previously appeared in conference proceedings, will be considered, and this should be so indicated at the time of submission.
ONLINE MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Kluwer Academic Publishers now offers authors, editors and reviewers of Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing the use of our fully web-enabled online manuscript submission and review system. To keep the review time as short as possible, we request authors to submit manuscripts online to the journal憇 editorial office. Our online manuscript submission and review system offers authors the option to track the progress of the review process of manuscripts in real time. Manuscripts should be submitted to: http://ALOG.edmgr.com
The online manuscript submission and review system for Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing offers easy and straightforward log-in and submission procedures. This system supports a wide range of submission file formats: for manuscripts - Word, WordPerfect, RTF, TXT, and LaTex; for figures - TIFF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, PPT and Postscript. PDF is not an acceptable format.
NOTE: In case you encounter any difficulties while submitting your manuscript online, please get in touch with the responsible Editorial Assistant by clicking on "CONTACT US" from the tool bar.
Authors should send a completed and duly signed Consent to Publish and Transfer of Copyright form (to be downloaded from the journal's homepage) either by mail or fax to the Editorial Office of the Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing. Authors should still follow the regular instructions for authors when preparing their manuscripts (see below).

MANUSCRIPT STYLE
- Use an informative title for the paper and include an abstract of 100 to 250 words at the head of the manuscript. The abstract should be a carefully worded description of the problem addressed, the key ideas introduced, and the results. Abstracts will be printed with the article.
- Provide from three to five keywords.
- Provide a list of all footnotes, beginning with "Affiliation of author" and continuing with numbered footnotes. Acknowledgment of financial support may be given if appropriate.
- References should appear in a separate bibliography at the end of the paper. They should be referred to by numerals in square brackets, e.g., [12]. References should be complete, in the following style:
Style for papers: Author(s) initials follows by last name for each author, paper title, publication name, volume, inclusive page numbers, month and year.
Style for books: Author(s), title, publisher, location, year, chapter or page numbers (if desired). Examples as follows:
(Book) D. Marr, 1982. Vision, a Computational Investigation into the Human Representation & Processing of Visual Information. Freeman.: San Francisco, CA, 1982.
(Journal) A. Rosenfeld and M. Thurston, "Edge and curve detection for visual scene analysis." IEEE Trans. Comput. C-20, pp. 562-569, 1971.
(Conference Proceedings) A. Witkin, "Scales space filtering," in Proc. Int. Joint Conf. Artif. Intell., Karlsruhe, West Germany, 1983, pp.1019-1021.
(Lab. memo) A.L.Yuille and T.Poggio, "Scaling theorems for zero crossings," M.I.T. Artif. Intell. Lab., Massachusetts Inst. Technol., Cambridge, MA, A.I. Memo. 722, 1983.
- Type mathematical expressions exactly as they should appear in print. Use appropriate typeface. It will be assumed that letters in displayed equations are to be set in italic type unless noted otherwise. All letter symbols in text discussion should be italic or boldface. Indicate best breaks for equations in case they will not fit on one line.
ILLUSTRATION STYLE
- Illustrations should be sharp, noise-free, and of good contrast. We regret that we cannot provide drafting or art service.
- Each figure should be mentioned in the text and numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals. Specify the desired location of each figure in the text. Each figure must have a caption. Proper style for captions, e.g., "Fig. 3. Examples of the fault coverage of random vectors in (a) combinatorial and (b) sequential circuits."
- Number each table consecutively using Arabic numerals. Please label any material that can be typeset as a table, reserving the term "figure" for material that has been drawn. Specify the desired location of each table in the text. Type a brief title above each table.
- All lettering should be large enough to permit legible reduction.
MIXED SIGNAL LETTERS
The Mixed Signal Letters section publishes concise articles describing new ideas. Comments on published papers can also be submitted. Publication cycle for Mixed Signal Letters is kept short although all submissions go through a peer/editorial review process.
Submissions to Mixed Signal Letters section should be no longer than six pages including double or 1.5 line-spaced text, figures, tables and references. Author should follow the same manuscript style as specified for regular papers. Letters are printed without author photographs and biographies.
Submissions should be sent electronically to one of the Associate Editors in the following geographic regions, clearly indicating that the submission is intended for the Mixed Signal Letters section of the Journal of Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing.
