Reviews are interrelated, with each review linking to other related content. A large board of Microbiology Spectrum editors aids in the development of topics for potential reviews and in the identification of an editor, or editors, who shepherd each collection. Articles are written and peer-reviewed by leading researchers in each field. Although the reviews are commissioned and Microbiology Spectrum does not accept unsolicited articles, topical idea suggestions are welcomed. Microbiology Spectrum is indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science), CAS, AGRICOLA, and the CAB Abstracts and Global Health database.
