The journal particularly welcomes research papers that deliver new insights into region-specific hydrological processes and responses to changing conditions, as well as contributions that incorporate interdisciplinarity and translational science. The journal topics covered include: surface and subsurface catchment hydrology; impacts of climatic and land use change on natural hydrologic processes and water resources; hydrologic process observations, modeling and prediction; innovative solution strategies for water management issues in transboundary basins and groundwater; economic hydrology; hydrology and livelihoods; cultural and social water allocation; social impacts of water infrastructure.
